Shell’s story in Saudi Arabia began over eight decades ago when Shell refueled the late King Abdulaziz’s first airplane, marking a long partnership with the Kingdom. Since 1985, Aljomaih and Shell Lubricating Oil Company Limited was established. In 2022, SBI signed a Trademark Brand Licensing Agreement with Wafi Energy Co. to build Shell‑branded fueling stations. Advanced Circular Materials Co. a JV between SARBV, and UCI (Aljomaih Company) is building a first‑of‑its‑kind Regional Metals Reclamation Complex in Jubail to accelerate energy transition, achieve sustainability aspirations and drive circular investment in the Kingdom. Shell invests in young Saudi innovators through Shell Eco‑marathon.
