WPC Energy – Poland National Committee
The Scientific Association of the Oil and Gas Industry Engineers and Technicians (SITPNiG) is the successor to the petroleum technical organisations that operated in Poland from 1877 until the Second World War. The association's current activities began in 1946 and it has operated under its current name since 1981. The largest Polish scientific and technical organisation, SITPNiG is a voluntary, non-profit association of specialists in the fields of hydrocarbon exploration and production, gas engineering, petroleum processing, environmental protection and economics. It is also a co-founder of the Ignacy Łukasiewicz Oil and Gas Industry Museum Foundation in Bóbrka (https://bobrka.pl/). SITPNiG serves as the full organisational and management body of the Polish Committee of the WPC Energy.
