Momentum Builds for Riyadh 2026 as the 25ᵗʰ WPC Energy Congress Approaches

For the first time in its illustrious history, the WPC Energy Congress will convene in Saudi Arabia, bringing together leaders, innovators, and changemakers to chart “Pathways to an Energy Future for All.”
In just five months, Riyadh will take centre stage as the world’s energy capital, hosting the 25ᵗʰ WPC Energy Congress from 26-30 April 2026 at the Riyadh Front Exhibition & Conference Center.
This milestone edition represents a defining moment for the global energy dialogue. At a time when the world is navigating one of the most complex transitions in modern history—balancing energy security, affordability and sustainability—the Congress offers a neutral and solutions-driven platform to connect vision with action.
A global convergence of energy leadership
The 25ᵗʰ WPC Energy Congress will bring together Heads of State, Ministers, CEOs, academia, engineers and policymakers from across the entire energy spectrum.
Delegates can expect an enriching Executive Programme of high-level dialogues and ministerial roundtables, complemented by a Technical Programme featuring 31 forums exploring decarbonisation, CCUS, digital transformation, hydrogen and the evolving role of hydrocarbons in the energy mix. Companies already confirmed to take part in the Technical Programme include Saudi Aramco, China National Petroleum Corporation, TotalEnergies, Shell, Petrobras, China National Offshore Oil Corporation, Kuwait Oil Company, National Iranian Oil Company, Turkish Petroleum, Repsol, Japan Petroleum Exploration Co and MOL.
Following the resounding success of the 24tᵗʰ edition in Calgary, Canada, which welcomed over 10,000 participants from 111 countries, the Riyadh Congress is poised to surpass that scale, with more than 25,000 visitors expected to attend.
The event will once again prove why WPC Energy remains the world’s most influential platform for dialogue and collaboration across the energy value chain.
Innovation and collaboration on display
Spanning 50,000 square metres of exhibition space, the Congress exhibition will showcase the technologies and partnerships shaping the future of energy.
From groundbreaking hydrogen and renewables projects to AI-powered optimisation tools and carbon-capture solutions, the show floor will reflect a sector in transformation. It will be a place where global innovators, investors, and policymakers meet face-to-face to accelerate progress and unlock new possibilities.
Riyadh: The perfect host for a new energy era
Saudi Arabia’s hosting of the 25ᵗʰ WPC Energy Congress carries immense symbolism. As the world’s leading energy exporter and a nation driving ambitious diversification under Vision 2030, the Kingdom embodies both heritage and forward-thinking innovation. Riyadh offers a gateway to one of the most dynamic energy ecosystems on the planet—one that blends traditional strength with emerging technologies, local value creation, and regional collaboration.
Shaping an inclusive energy future
More than a gathering, the Congress is a call to action—an opportunity for governments, companies and individuals to align on practical pathways toward a more sustainable, inclusive and secure energy future. It will provide the stage where global perspectives meet regional ambition, where innovation meets investment, and where the next era of energy leadership is defined.
The countdown has begun. See you in Riyadh in April 2026!
