Official Inauguration

The 25th WPC Energy Congress will officially open on Monday, 27 April, with a distinguished Inaugural Session bringing together global leaders from across the energy sector. The programme will feature Opening Remarks by the hosts, setting the vision and objectives of the Congress, followed by high-level Ministerial Dialogues addressing key priorities such as energy security, sustainability, market stability, and the evolving energy transition.
The session will also include the presentation of the Dewhurst Award, recognizing exceptional contributions to the global energy industry. As the formal launch of the Congress, the Inaugural Session will set the tone for a week of strategic dialogue, collaboration, and forward-looking solutions.

The workshop is organized by the Ministry of Energy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), in collaboration with Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC).
It highlights the strategic efforts of Arab oil and gas producing countries in navigating energy transitions, focusing on the balance between maintaining global energy security and implementing Innovative strategies to achieve a sustainable energy future. The workshop aims to discuss the main topics of Global Energy Transitions– Context and Drivers, the Impact of Energy Transitions on the Economies of Arab Oil-Producing Countries, and the Social and Environmental Impacts of Energy Transitions.

OAPEC – 3rd Symposium on Pathways to Reduce Carbon Emissions in the Petroleum Downstream Industries

The 3rd Edition of the Symposium is organized by the Ministry of Energy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), in collaboration with the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC).
This edition aims to continue efforts to enhance sustainability in the downstream petroleum industries and to highlight the latest innovations and technological solutions for reducing carbon emissions, in line with global environmental protection goals and sustainable development objectives.
The Symposium will bring together a wide range of experts and decision-makers in the fields of energy and environment from OAPEC Member States, in addition to international experts and representatives of leading global companies specializing in carbon emissions reduction technologies, to discuss effective strategies and showcase successful experiences and best practices in this field.
