From Access to Authority: How the GCC Built Women’s Leadership Pipelines in Energy — and What the Global Transition Can Learn (in collabration with LEWAS)
The energy transition is creating a talent gap that the industry cannot address through its historical workforce alone. In response, the region has placed increasing emphasis on deliberately building talent pipelines, particularly in technical and operational roles. This creates three important learning opportunities: recognising the distinction between women’s participation in technical and operational roles and their representation in positions of leadership, authority and decision-making; identifying the sponsorship structures that genuinely support career advancement; and understanding why organisations need to intensify these efforts now as the competition for skilled talent continues to grow.
