Yoshiyuki Okano

Yoshiyuki possesses over 25 years of professional experience in optimizing production strategies and evaluating reservoir development projects. His core expertise lies in uncertainty analysis and risk assessment associated with heterogeneous reservoir characteristics and stochastic production forecasting. Beyond his technical contributions, he has dedicated more than a decade to serving as a peer reviewer and editor for various technical journals. Currently, he is the director of SPE (Society of Petroleum Engineers) Japan section and leads the editorial initiatives of the Japanese Association for Petroleum Technology journal, where he promotes advancements in petroleum development technologies as the head of its steering committee.
