Brief Bio of Prof Shan 
 
Mr. Shan Tongwen, professorate senior engineer, CNOOC’s company expert on natural gas and power generation, has over 30 years’ experience on offshore engineering and LNG, especially adept at marine engineering and natural gas technology. He worked as an offshore engineer and engineering project manager in CNOOC Research Institute before 2007, then joined CNOOC Gas and Group to work on R&D of LNG technology and from 2021 to 2023, Prof. Shan successively worked as Deputy GM and GM in Science & Information Technology Department, CNOOC. Now he works as CNOOC’s company senior adviser. As author of several works and thesis, he’s also the leader or key member of several national or Provincial and ministerial level scientific research projects and specification projects, and creator of more than 50 patents. As the member of governing body of Gastech Conference and the committee member of Specifications of liquefied natural gas for marine applications (ISO/TC 28/SC 4/WG 17) and Liquefied natural gas installations and equipment ( ISO/TC67/SC9), International Organization for Standardization. He attends the annual meeting of the above international conferences and has lasted for over 5 years.
