Yu Matsuno

Yu Matsuno has twenty-five years of experience in the oil and gas industry and is General Manager of Business Development Department II, Japan Carbon Neutral Division. Early in his career, Yu specialized in drilling technology and managed unconventional oil and gas projects, including oil sands, methane hydrate and tight oil, in Japan, Canada and the United States. 
Yu has been passionate about the acquisition of energy resources, and in recent years he has been working on carbon neutrality with the aim of achieving a sustainable society, and has been leading a project for the realization of carbon capture and storage (CCS) in Japan. 
Yu is working hard to make CCS a reality, believing that it is possible to achieve carbon neutrality while still using fossil fuels such as oil and gas.
