Andrea Crook, P.Geoph, is the co-founder and CEO of OptiSeis Solutions Ltd., a leader in sustainable solutions for high resolution subsurface imaging and analytics. At OptiSeis, she has built a team of experts specializing in seismic acquisition (2D/3D/4D/VSP/Passive) design and implementation, VSP processing, and software development with a focus on innovation, operational excellence, and improved environmental footprint. Andrea graduated from the University of Manitoba with a B.Sc. Honours in Geophysics and began her career at Shell Canada in seismic processing and geophysical operations. Based on her extensive contributions to the field of geophysics, she received the 2019 Canadian Society of Exploration Geophysicists (CSEG) Technical Achievement Award, was the Society’s 2023 Symposium Honouree and the 2024/25 CSEG Canadian Distinguished Lecturer. She is on the Board of Directors for the Clean Resource Innovation Network (CRIN) and is an instructor in seismic acquisition for the CSEG, the European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE), and the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG). Through active collaboration with industry and academia, she and her team continue to develop innovative solutions for environmentally sustainable subsurface imaging.
