Feras Alsalem

Dr. Feras Adel Al-Salem is a highly accomplished Kuwaiti professional with expertise spanning petroleum engineering, environmental science, and sustainable business development.  His academic credentials include a PhD in Environmental Science, supplementing his BSc in Petroleum Engineering and MSc in Environmental Sciences. This robust foundation underpins his leadership roles in several key organizations. 
Currently, he serves as CEO of Al Salem International Energy Co. and Al Salem Offshore Real Estate as well as the Chairman of Kuwait Business Council in Dubai, demonstrating expertise in both traditional energy and other economic sectors. 
Al-Salem's engagement in the broader business community is significant. He's held prominent positions within the Kuwaiti Business Council (KBC), both in Dubai and Kuwait, serving as president and leading various committees focused on investment, banking, and strategic partnerships. This involvement highlights his dedication to fostering economic development and collaboration, both domestically and internationally.  He's a recognized speaker at major industry events, including the World Utilities Congress, Dubai Future Innovation Summit, the UAE-Kuwait Week, and the Japan Energy Summit. 
Dr. Alsalem has active contributions which extend to academia where he has authored several publications, focusing on produced water treatment, including innovative methods for purifying this waste product to create industrial salt. He's also published research on microplastic contamination and sustainable energy.  His work consistently demonstrates a commitment to blending environmental sustainability with economic progress.  He frequently collaborates with organizations like INPEX and JOGMEC (Japan Oil, Gas and Metals National Corporation) and seeks to integrate sustainable practices into the energy industry where he has served 13 years in Kuwait Gulf Oil Company focusing on upstream oil production operations.  His achievements underscore a dedication to innovative solutions and strategic partnerships across various sectors and geographies towards a better economic and sustainable future for the GCC region.
