Michael Halliday is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor and internationally recognised expert in construction claims and dispute resolution, with over three decades of experience across the power, utilities, renewables, oil & gas, infrastructure, and civil sectors. He has worked in more than 25 countries, Michael has led commercial teams on major infrastructure, energy, and renewables projects.. Michael is known for his strategic, diplomatic approach to distressed projects, often serving as a trusted advisor to major private and governmental clients.
He holds an MSc in Construction Law and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (CICES), a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), He currently serves as Principal at HKA and is the Chief Moderator for CICES. He is also the former UK President of AACE International.
Michael’s expertise spans contract strategy, claims management, expert witness services, and commercial leadership on mega projects. He is also a seasoned speaker and educator, having delivered seminars and training globally. His ability to navigate complex disputes and deliver pragmatic, high-value solutions make him a sought-after figure in the construction and engineering industries.
