Dr. Ibraheam leads the department responsible for hydrogen regulations, studies, and applications at the Ministry of Energy in Saudi Arabia. He plays a key role in advancing the Kingdom’s clean hydrogen strategy to achieve its goal of becoming a leading global producer and exporter of clean hydrogen and its derivatives by 2030.
With over 16 years of experience across government, industry, and research, Dr. Ibraheam specializes in clean hydrogen policies, project evaluation, and international cooperation. He works closely with global partners, national champions, and government stakeholders to support the development of hydrogen and its derivatives, such as ammonia, e-fuels, and e-sustainable aviation fuel (e-SAF).
Prior to his current role, Dr. Ibraheam was a researcher at SABIC, where he led clean hydrogen R&D and prototype development. Earlier in his career, he served as a process and environmental engineer at Aramco. He holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder, with research focused on clean hydrogen production technologies. He is also a published author and co-inventor of patents in the hydrogen field.
Dr. Ibraheam brings strong technical and policy expertise to support the growth of the global clean hydrogen economy.
