Elena B. Fedorova graduated from Gubkin Moscow Institute of Petrochemical and Gas Industry in 1984 with a degree in mechanical engineering. One year later she entered the post-graduate course of the same institute. In 1990 defended the PhD thesis.
She has been teaching in Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas since 2005. Her current position is Head of Oil Refining and Gas Processing Equipment Department.
Delivers lectures on “Processes and Apparatus of Oil and Gas Processing” for 3-d year students and her personal courses “LNG Production” for students of Master’s Programs. Also she delivers lectures on “LNG Industry” for further professional education courses and MBA.
She carries out research on LNG production field. She has been an author of more than 140 scientific articles. In 2011 Elena Fedorova wrote and published the monograph “State-of-the-art and Development of the Global LNG Industry: Technologies and Equipment” in Russia.
In 2021 she defended the Doctor’s thesis on “Comprehensive scientific and technological basis of the liquefied natural gas production” and got the academic degree Doctor of Technical Sciences.
Elena Fedorova has an experience in Forum and Round Table management within the WPC. She took participation in World Petroleum Congresses as a vice chair of Forum 14 (2014) and Round Table Moderator (2017).
Elena Fedorova is a Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences and an expert of the Russian Gas Society in the field of LNG.
