Suleyman Coskun began his career as an exploration geoscientist at Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO), where he led high-impact projects and contributed to major oil discoveries. He later served as GHG Emissions Manager, supporting the company’s decarbonisation strategy and its alignment with global climate goals.  
He is recently finalising his PhD research at the University of Manchester, where he focuses on subsurface evaluation for carbon storage as part of the global energy transition. His academic work is grounded in over a decade of professional experience in the energy sector, combining field-based insight with a strong understanding of emerging climate solutions. 
 
He previously held a similar leadership role at the 24th WPC Congress and has contributed to several other global events and professional organizations. Suleyman Coskun brings a unique blend of academic depth and industry experience, making him a strong voice in conversations around the future of energy, sustainability, and subsurface innovation.
