Rosalia Vazquez
Sr. Energy Transition & Climate Change Advisor
Repsol
I am a Chemical Engineer with 15 years of experience in the O&G sector, specializing in Energy Transition. In my role within the Energy Transition and Climate Change team at Repsol, I support all business areas with GHG (Scope 1 and 2) emissions reporting, setting targets, and aligning strategies with ESG stakeholders’ expectations.
As Repsol’s representative in international initiatives like OGMP (O&G Methane Partnership), OGCI (O&G Climate Initiative), and previously Methane Guiding Principles. I also contribute to the OGDC (O&G Decarbonization Charter), fostering engagement among partners.
My responsibilities include developing strategies to achieve Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions targets, supporting all Repsol’s business areas to meet commitments, identifying opportunities for improvement, and conducting internal and external GHG emissions reporting (Integrated Management Report, CDP, OGMP). I ensure compliance with various frameworks and certifications and contribute to implementing new reporting requirements (CSRD), keeping the company ahead of evolving regulations with voluntary initiatives (OGMP, MiQ). Additionally, I oversee GHG accounting for non-operated assets, fostering collaboration with industry partners to share best practices on emissions mitigation and technology, engaging with National and International Oil Companies.
