Khorlan Ayazbekova

Khorlan Ayazbekova is the Head of the Strategy Management Office at JSC NC "KazMunayGas," Kazakhstan’s national oil and gas company. With over 14 years of experience in the energy sector, she specializes in strategic planning, corporate performance management (KPIs), low-carbon development, and sustainability. 
Khorlan has led the development and execution of two corporate strategies for KazMunayGas (2018–2028 and 2022–2031), shaping the company’s direction in financial stability, petrochemicals, and energy transition. She introduced a revised strategy management methodology, implemented a strategic KPI system across the corporate group, and initiated the company's first Low-Carbon Development Concept, approved at the Board of Directors level. 
She also pioneered regular macroanalysis reports and webinars for employees featuring global experts to foster internal knowledge-sharing. Earlier in her career, Khorlan held key positions in KazTransOil and KMG Global Solutions, managing investment projects, business transformation initiatives, and international asset portfolios. 
Khorlan holds an MSc in International Financial Management from Queen Mary University of London and a BSc in Economics from Moscow State University.
