Hamidreza Zolfkhani

Hamidreza Zolfkhani is civil-environmental engineer (MSc), graduated from university of Tehran in 2003. He’s been working as Chief Environment Protection Officer in NIGC since 2005. As a part of HSE directorate of Iran’s largest energy provider company (NIGC), Hamidreza is committed to track environmental footprints of almost 60 subsidiaries to ensure minimum adverse effects from natural gas supply chain. 
Natural gas industry trough upstream production, treatment process, transmission, underground storage and distribution to costumers may impose various impacts on environment. So, Hamidreza drove an efficient environment management system to identify, evaluate and target all aspects of supply chain activities to minimize emissions to air, water and soil contamination, energy and material consumption, and eliminate threats to welfare of local communities. He planned several programs to build infrastructure to improve environmental performance in NIGC.  
As Climate Change became a more important issue, Hamidreza, delivered actions to tackle it. He implemented a GHGs emission inventory and MRV framework, mitigation plans and adaptation measures for NIGC to confront climate change.  
Also, in order to environmental sustainability, Hamidreza conducted several EIA (Environmental Impact Assessment) to predict and reduce environmental impacts of development projects as well as considering socio-economical impacts.
