Dr Prashant Kumar is Chief Research Manager at the Research & Development Centre of Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), with a PhD in combustion engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. He brings
over 19 years of experience at IOCL, currently leading the Automotive Research Department, focused on the evaluation of fuels and lubricants and their applications. He has published over 20 research papers and 02 patents in fuel and lube technologies and demonstrates expertise across internal combustion engines and sustainable energy solutions.


His professional interests include performance evaluation of engine & vehicles, emissions analysis, air quality management, carbon credit methodology, and greenhouse gas mitigation. His achievements include the Bureau of Energy Efficiency Award for Energy Conservation from the President of India, the Best Innovation in R&D Sector award from the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, and the Best Paper Award at the International Symposium on Fuel & Lubricants (ISFL 2008) for his work on hydrogen-compressed natural gas (H-CNG) evaluation in two-wheelers.
