Yan Yang

Yang Yan, Ph.D. graduated from Tsinghua University, Professorate Senior Economist, executive member of Chinese Society of Technology Economics, director of Energy Technology Department of CNPC Economics & Technology Research Institute (CNPC ETRI). At CNPC ETRI, Mrs. Yang used to be the chief engineer of Department of Petroleum Technology, deputy director of CNPC Center for Intellectual Property Strategies, and director of Department of Overseas Investment Environment. Ms. Yang has undertaken several national major projects, including the National Oil and Gas Major Project, the 973 Project, and the China Top Think Tank Project, focusing on technological innovation strategies and management in the oil and gas industry, green and low-carbon development in the energy industry, and international cooperation. She has published nearly 50 papers in Chinese and English, and participated in the compilation of 9 books. Five of her papers have won the first prize for the National Oil and Petrochemical Enterprise Management Modernization Innovation Excellent Paper Award. She has been selected as the Youth Science and Technology Talent of CNPC, and has received provincial and ministerial level awards for more than 10 times. Her works have been selected into the "50 Essays on China's Innovations".
