Alibek Zhamauov

Alibek Zhumabekovich Zhamauov was born on 17 October 1981 in the Atyrau Region of Kazakhstan. He graduated from Suleyman Demirel University with a degree in Economics and Management, and subsequently from K. Satpayev Kazakh National Technical University, specializing in Oil and Gas Field Development. He began his career in the energy industry in 2005 at Agip Kazakhstan Caspian Operating Company, serving first as a Junior Advisor and later as an Advisor and Supervisor until 2009. From 2009 to 2019, he worked at Zhambyl Petroleum LLP, progressing from Manager to Executive Director. Between 2019 and 2020, he headed the Technical Group at the Authorised Body for the North Caspian Project, followed by his appointment as Deputy General Director of PSA LLP from 2020 to 2023. From 2023 to 2025, he held the post of Vice Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In 2025, he assumed his current role as Chairman of the Management Board of JSC NC QazaqGaz.
